Journal update

Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition will cease to be published by BMC from 31st December 2021.

The submission system is now closed to all new submissions, existing submissions will continue to be processed via the existing EM platform. The journal will be published by Taylor & Francis from 1st January 2022. All new submissions should be submitted to the new submission system.

BMC will continue to host an archive of all articles previously published in the journal and all articles published in JISSN during its time with BMC will remain fully searchable via the BMC website.

Aims and scope

Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition (JISSN) focuses on the acute and chronic effects of sports nutrition and supplementation strategies on body composition, physical performance and metabolism. JISSN is aimed at researchers and sport enthusiasts focused on delivering knowledge on exercise and nutrition on health, disease, rehabilitation, training, and performance. The journal provides a platform on which readers can determine nutritional strategies that may enhance exercise and/or training adaptations leading to improved health and performance.
