Are You the Strategic Doer Who Can Elevate Our Marketing Engine and Drive DTC Growth?
At Senbird Tea, our connection to thousands of customers begins with authentic storytelling, thoughtful content, and smart, integrated marketing that turns tea lovers into loyal fans. We are not just looking for someone to post content or run ads; we are searching for a rising marketing leader—a Senior Marketing Specialist who thrives on blending high-level strategy with hands-on execution, while guiding our small team toward bigger wins in eCommerce sales, brand reach, and community building.
This role combines proactive ownership of marketing strategies (social, email, blog/SEO, campaigns, affiliate/influencer) with direct execution and optimization across channels. You’ll develop roadmaps and plans, analyze data to refine them, mentor our Marketing Associate on tactical work, and jump in on urgent eCommerce needs (like site merchandising or promotions) when it drives results. Where others see scattered efforts, you see opportunities to integrate channels for measurable revenue impact and long-term brand strength. You don't just execute tasks; you take pride in owning initiatives end-to-end, experimenting with data-driven ideas, and elevating our Japanese tea story.

Who We’re Looking For
We are seeking a rising leader who embodies our values of collaboration, curiosity, and care. You'll know you're the right person for this role if:
- You lead by doing—developing strategies while staying hands-on with execution, content creation, and optimization.
- You are relentlessly proactive—you spot opportunities, own initiatives end-to-end, and think ahead to keep momentum high.
- You thrive on data-driven decisions, turning analytics into actionable improvements that boost engagement, traffic, and sales.
- You communicate with clarity and purpose, aligning the team and leadership around shared goals.
- You view challenges as chances to experiment and grow, finding genuine fulfillment in seeing marketing efforts translate to real customer connections and revenue wins.
- You mentor and delegate effectively, empowering the Marketing Associate to execute while providing guidance and strategic oversight.
- You have a passion for tea, Japanese culture, and DTC eCommerce storytelling.
What You’ll Do
As a Senior Marketing Specialist, you will:
- Develop and lead integrated marketing campaigns across channels (social, email, blog, paid/organic, affiliate/influencer), aligning with product launches, seasonal opportunities, and eCommerce goals to drive website traffic, conversions, and revenue.
- Own Senbird's social media strategy and roadmap—defining content pillars, audience targeting, platform priorities, and growth tactics; guide execution by the Marketing Associate while analyzing performance to optimize engagement and qualified traffic.
- Own affiliate and influencer strategy: Identify, recruit, and nurture partnerships with aligned creators, bloggers, ambassadors, and affiliates; manage outreach, seeding, collaborations, and performance tracking (via our affiliate platform) to drive qualified traffic, authentic content, and revenue through commissions and codes. Collaborate closely with the Marketing Associate on execution tasks like initial outreach, relationship management, content seeding, and reporting, while providing strategic direction, approvals, and optimization insights.
- Oversee email marketing, blog, and SEO efforts: plan content calendars, conduct keyword research, select strategic topics on Japanese tea/culture, delegate writing/editing as needed, and track metrics (rankings, organic traffic, conversions) to enhance brand authority and DTC performance.
- Analyze funnel data, marketing metrics, and trends; recommend A/B tests, optimizations, and cross-channel integrations (SEO, email, social, paid, affiliate/influencer) to improve customer journeys, average order value, and ROI.
- Provide hands-on support for eCommerce initiatives when urgent or high-impact (site merchandising, UX enhancements, promotional strategies), bridging marketing to DTC sales.
- Lead weekly marketing meetings: set agendas, facilitate discussions, mentor the Marketing Associate on best practices and growth, and ensure actionable outcomes.
- Stay ahead of industry trends in DTC marketing, eCommerce, and tea culture; encourage experimentation and data-driven culture within the team.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align marketing with broader business objectives, reporting progress and insights to leadership.
Your qualifications
- 4–7+ years of experience in digital/DTC marketing, eCommerce, or consumer brands (tea, beverage, wellness, or CPG a plus).
- Proven track record owning multi-channel campaigns, social/email/blog/SEO strategies, and performance analysis with tools like Google Analytics, Shopify, Klaviyo/Mailchimp, or similar.
- Hands-on execution experience (content creation, campaign setup, A/B testing) combined with strategic planning and team guidance/mentoring.
- Experience managing affiliate programs or influencer outreach (e.g., via platforms like Affiliatry or similar) and collaborating with junior team members on execution is a plus.
- Strong data/analytics comfort; ability to distill insights and optimize for conversions/ROI.
- Proactive self-starter with excellent communication and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Shopify, email platforms, social tools, and basic SEO best practices.
- Passion for Japanese tea/culture and DTC brand building highly valued.
